Baby 3 started kicking

Claire has felt flutters for a few weeks, but felt definite kicking today. She also heard the babies heart beat on Wednesday 28th May at her appointment with the midwife. Jessica got very exited and understands that there is a baby in Mummy’s tummy.

Claire broke her toe

Claire tripped on the stair gate and skiied down the stairs. On the way down she managed to break her toe. After some persuasion she visited the hospital the next evening. This confirmed that her big toe was chipped. It will heal, but the kids keep stepping on it.

The big move

University is now over. It was time to get a real job.

Growing Up in Scotland Survey

Today Jess and I took part in a long term survey, which will be following Jess’ development over the next five years and beyond.   It was was good and Jessica was very well behaved even though she was very interested in getting her hands on the interviewer’s laptop!!

Pregnancy

 
We discovered that we were expecting a few weeks after coming home from a holiday in the USA.
The due date was initially 9-May-05.
For the first three months Claire had morning sickness, but was pleased to recover and to progress to eating like a horse!
Claire continued her Phd lab work until birth.
